Our crew members are manufacturer-trained and certified in commercial grade and high-traffic flooring applications. We specialize in hardwood flooring, tile work, stone, luxury vinyl tile, carpet, laminate, and VCT.
Proper planning and careful preparation ensure proper adhesion for beautiful floors that last. We evaluate subfloors for moisture, flatness, and cracks to remediate any issues before installing the finished flooring.
We help clients recover from improper installation, fire, and water damage. Our professional team assesses any and all damage to the existing floor, then provides the best solution to repair and extend the floor’s lifecycle.
Different flooring materials have different flatness tolerances. For proper installation, we use a laser and an overlay of 10 x 10-foot grids to test for elevation changes across the entire floor.
We visually inspect for cracks to determine whether a crack isolation membrane is required to prevent transference from the subfloor to the surface of the new floor. Plus, we check whether cracks have vertical displacement, which indicates that the subfloor is still settling.
It is very important to always test for moisture since flooring materials and adhesives all have different tolerances.
A moisture mitigation solution is an important part of proper installation. We use a Wagner relative humidity probe to test the moisture in the concrete slab. Subfloors, substrates, adhesives, and floor coverings all have different tolerances and ideal conditions, making this a critical step in the process.
We mechanically abrade the subfloor with a grinder or bead blaster to remove all contaminants that could prevent products from bonding. Then we thoroughly clean the subfloor and apply any moisture mitigation and leveling products.
We evaluate the subfloor and determine whether any additional material is required before the final product goes down. Hardwood floors might require a plywood underlayment. In areas where leveling products aren’t cost-effective, additional concrete can help bridge uneven areas.
When it comes to creating stunning floors that last, this is where all the planning and preparation pay off. Professional installation and careful attention to detail ensure that we get it right the first time.
Our installers are manufacturer-trained and certified in evaluation, mitigation, and installation to ensure a long-lasting floor that protects your client’s investment. All our crews hold Mapei and Ardex certifications.
