Every flooring product has its own relative humidity tolerance, so it’s important to test the subfloor for moisture. The test results tell us whether we need to take any additional measures to mitigate moisture. These steps are critical to the quality and longevity of the finished floor.

The glue may be rated for 95% humidity, but the finished flooring product has a lower humidity rating, and the glue isn’t a moisture barrier. Moisture mitigation ensures proper bonding and protects the finished floor.

Grinding the floor removes all previous curing compounds and sealers. All products for the new floor require a contaminant-free surface for a solid bond.

Every flooring product has its own flatness tolerance for proper installation. Flatness is another important factor in the wear and longevity of the finished floor.
